Learner Privacy Notice

How we handle your data on the BCSA Training platform.

The short version for learners

This explains what happens to your information when you use the BCSA Training platform. We only use the details we need to run your course, keep the platform secure, and issue your certificate.

What we collect

We keep the details needed to run your course, such as your learner ID, your school or organisation, your progress, your answers, your results, and your certificate information.

We also collect basic technical information like your device type and IP address so the platform works properly and stays secure.

Why we use it

We use your information so you can sign in, complete activities, save your progress, receive feedback, and get a certificate when you finish.

We also use it to help your school, council, or organisation see who has completed the course and to improve the training platform.

Who can see it

Your school, council, or organisation can see the records they need to manage your training. BCSA and our platform providers only access learner information when needed to run or support the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

Assessment results are kept for 6 years from course completion. Certificate records are kept for 5 years from course completion so certificates can be checked later.
